​Support value creation through human capital

Greetings

- Three Years Since the Establishment of BoardHR Initiative -

The importance of intangible assets in enhancing corporate value has gained attention, and is widely accepted among corporate executives and institutional investors that human capital is a key driver of value creation.

It has been three and a half years since business consultants from Japan and Canada came together to establish the BoardHR Initiative. During this time, the movement to establish human capital disclosure guidelines has gained momentum in Japan, and we have engaged in direct dialogues, study sessions, and joint research with business companies, institutional investors, third-party organizations advocating for the appropriate evaluation of intangible assets, and members of academia on the treatment of human capital for enhancing corporate value. Through these activities, we have reaffirmed the importance and challenges of human capital in creating corporate value, while also gaining a clearer understanding of our strengths and positioning within the market to better provide value to our clients.

 

BoardHR Initiative is a team composed of members with global consulting experience in the fields of organization and human resources. We have once again recognized that we should firmly focus on supporting and accompanying our client companies in value creation through their human capital. We are especially convinced that the urgent task for many Japanese companies is to elevate HR issues and initiatives—faced by HR leaders—to the level of top-management (board’s level) topics by scrutinizing them from the perspective of their impact on corporate value.

 

We will continue to offer insights, proposals, and advice based on the latest global trends related to value creation through human capital to our Japanese clients. Regardless of the size or public/private status of their organizations, we look forward to meeting HR leaders who are genuinely committed to pursuing value creation through human capital.
